Was there that much slack in the rope? Absolutely not. But by golly this is a visual medium and I’m going to take advantage of that to make a nice composition.
But more importantlty, BANGKOK.

So hey, if there is ever any voting category for sleaziest protagonist, you guys know where to cast your votes.

Just sayin’.

As always, this updates every Sunday evening, and is posted here first: [link]

Haha. I made a joke about eagles carrying him off on my sketch blog! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far- I was really concerned about effectively allowing for emotional attachment this early on. I'm really REALLY relieved that it's working just fine so far, based on everyone's feedback. Thanks so much for continuing to read it!

Emotional attachments are like crack in the comic world~ Keeps the readers hooked~ And the cliffhangers keep them addicted!
Skillful use of both~ I love your medium as well. I can't wait to see more! :D

I love this story of yours so far. It's beautifully illustrated.
You know, I have been wanting to do some sort of comic-graphic novel-type thing, and I thought real hard about doing it in colored pencil...But I think this is convincing me that painting it is the way to go.

Thank you so much! Traditional medium is pretty high maintenance, but if you're up for it and is what best suits your story, then go for it! When it comes to execution, it complimenting the feel that you ultimately want is most important (I'd even suggest combining the two- watercolor/gouache/watered acrylic goes great with colored pencil detailing). Let me know should you start posting it- your work is really lovely, so there's no doubt that it will look really gorgeous with whatever medium you choose.
